Casa Artusi is the first centre of gastronomic culture entirely devoted to Italian home cookery.
It was founded in the name of cultured gastronomist from Forlimpopoli, Pellegrino Artusi (1820 Forlimpopoli – 1911 Florence), whose manual “Science in the Kitchen and the Art of Eating Well” can be found in many houses (over one million copies sold in Italy and abroad).
Casa Artusi is a living museum to home cookery, an area of over 2,800 square metres, all dealing with different aspects of gastronomic culture: the library, the cookery school, the restaurant and the wine cellar, the bookshop, and the events area. The house was built through the restructuring work carried out on the monumental complex of a church, Chiesa dei Servi.
Casa Artusi is open to researchers and scholars, to professionals and food lovers aiming to improve their cooking ability, to people with a passion for food or to the merely curious, to anyone who wishes to look into the culture and practice of home cooking.
The Malatestiana Library is the only one in the world that has preserved perfectly intact its original architectural structure, its furnishings and its manuscript collection since its opening more than 550 years ago. In 2005, UNESCO included it in its Memory of the World Register, as a “rare example of a complete and wonderful collection from the 15th century, just before printing became popular in Europe”.
The library was commissioned by Malatesta Novello, Lord of Cesena, and was later donated to the local commune for public use and thus became the first European civic library.
The architectural design, which is possibly by Leon Battista Alberti, is splendid and innovative, but the focus and essence of the library are the books themselves. Its 250,000 volumes – including 287 incunables, 4,000 books from the 1500s (‘cinquecentine’), 17,000 autographs and letters, 1,700 manuscripts, and even the smallest book in the world that can be read without a magnifying glass are invaluable treasures.

Fiammetta is the first Bio wine cellar of the Rimini area. The farmhouse was established in 1964 by Benito Piva who had a sincere passion for the land and named it after his daughter Fiammetta.
His grandsons Francesco, Jacopo, and Matteo continue the family tradition bringing together the expertise and experience that their father Carlo Panzeri, an agronomist and a passionate winegrower, handed them down. Today the farm produces 8 different types of biological wines.
The estate covers an area of 41 hectares including a unique educational vineyard, with more than 150 international varieties of grapevines from which most of the Italian DOC DOCG wines are produced, and 20 hectares of woodland with over 30 species of plants and shrubs from the Mediterranean area.
The magnificent panoramic position between the Valconca valley and the sea is the ideal cradle for the Fiammetta Farm Holiday house, which offers a wellness experience to sport, movement and taste lovers. At the Biodynamic Tenuta Mara, vines grow accompanied by classical music and the harmonies follow the process of the transformation of grapes into fine wine even in the cellar.
Visiting the interiors of the Estate is also a sensorial experience: wine is refined amid the colours of painted vats and Gregorian chants, and several works of art embellish the rooms, from the bottaia to the Hall of Music with large windows overlooking the valley.
The elegant structure set in the natural context of the Estate is an exclusive location for concerts and wine tastings, for moments of relaxation and for corporate events.
